The Green Collar Women’s Association YEYKAD was founded in 2022 to promote a sustainable gender equality policy in the renewable energy sector.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we aim to empower women working in the energy sector, support them, and create platforms to amplify their voices. Within this scope, we implement projects in collaboration with stakeholders from diverse disciplines and fields. We aim to increase the number and impact of women in the sector while promoting the widespread adoption of green technologies. We guide the business world through the industry’s green transformation journey and play a facilitating role in implementing necessary actions.
The process that began in May 2018 with the establishment of the Renewable Energy and Energy Sector Turkish Women’s Group laid its first foundations in January 2019, when 60 enlightened women came together under the umbrella of the Turkish Women's Network in Renewable Energy to establish YEYKAD.
Between 2019 and 2022, this group organized over 70 informative seminars, webinars, and panels at both technical and administrative levels. During the same period, through our expert female members, we participated in nearly 50 congresses both domestically and internationally, conducting sessions on current industry topics to raise awareness.
In June 2022, YEYKAD was officially established, and in October 2022, it held its first General Assembly.
